Creative Clash, a Board Game for the Creative Professionals

The fast-paced board game that started as a Kickstarter project is now ready for use all over the world.

Creative Clash is crafted by the geniuses at The Infantree, a Lancaster, PA-based branding agency. The board game challenges its players to form their own powerhouse creative team, tackle jobs, and pump up their characters to win. Professional creatives will immediately relate to the game’s theme as it includes experiences in the advertising, marketing, and branding industry that actually happen. These incidents are also presented with a satirical point-of-view at what makes the said industries tick.

Our goal was to create a game that opened up the world of board games to creative types… We see the game as a little bit of therapy to help us laugh at the trials we face every day in our industry. Gameplay:

  • 30-60 minutes
  • 2-5 players
  • 160 custom illustrated cards that feature employees, jobs, mayhem, and rewards.

Employees are played in your Studio to help you complete Projects. Employees may also be upgraded with Skills to help you complete the best Projects.

Events represent the often bizarre things that occur in the typical creative agency. These are lively attack and defense cards. Play at your own risk!

INFANTREE-CreativeClash-EXPERTS

Experts are a special kind of Employee. They function just like Employees, except that each Expert permanently has a Skill associated with them.

Persons offer special bonuses to your Studio or suddenly appear to cause mayhem on an unsuspecting player. Some Persons are played right away, others are free to play whenever.

Each Principal has a special ability and becomes your persona during the game. He or she also defines your Ego goal. Reach your Ego goal first and you’re the winner!

INFANTREE-CreativeClash-SKILLS

Skills are played on your Employees to help you complete Projects, earn Coins and earn Ego. A Skill is permanently attached to an Employee unless discarded or taken by another player.

Plain and simple, Stuff is all about Ego. Spend your hard-earned Coins on Stuff to quickly reach your Ego goal.

Each turn is comprised of several phases where players collect income, draw 2 cards, and then play as many cards as they like. Play continues until someone reaches the Ego goal on their Principal card. The game relies heavily on strategy and “sheer dumb luck” while drawing from the deck of cards, and the first player to achieve their team’s goal shall be the winner.
