13 Iconic Robots in Screen Machines, an Infographic

An illustrated collection of Iconic robots and machines from movies, TV, and video games created by David Wildish.

Screen Machines is a promotional artwork that highlights SOME of our favourite robots from various media. The poster features a wide range of familiar characters from classic science-fiction books and movies such as Marvin (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy), R2D2 (Star Wars), and HAL 9000 (2001: A Space Odyssey) to more child-friendly robots Iron Giant, WALL·E, and Eve. Screen Machines also pays tribute to our generation’s iconic robots from cult TV programs like the Dalek – EXTERMINATE! – from Doctor Who and Futurama‘s Bender.

Real-life robots can manage to vacuum floors or perform major surgeries, but they lack personalities like Bender’s sleaziness, Marvin’s gloomy character, and even the Daleks’ human qualities.
