Awesome Web Design of the Week — Make Your Money Matter

If there is one sector wherein websites rarely innovate their website it’s finance. The subject of money has always been serious and bland but one website decided to stay away from the all too corporate feel in order to teach people the importance of making their money matter. In this edition of Awesome Web Design of the Week we are going to look at a website that aims to promote credit unions and make the discussions about finances fun and all in all important.

Lately there has been a whole slew of dynamic parallax websites which aims to promote different matters in an interactive fun way. One website in particular caught our eyes and attention and that is why in this post of Awesome Web Design of the Week we are going to show you the amazing site of Make Your Money Matter.

In order to teach millennials the beauty of using credit unions instead of putting their hard earn money in banks, PSCU asked the help of Firstborn, a digital company based in New York. Considering that millennials are their market they have opted to do a narrative experience instead of the usual show and tell with graphs and boring stock images. The result is Make Your Money Matter which uses a dynamic parallax scrolling to make the animations come to life. Apart from the amazing animation, they have included a calculator that shows people how much does big banks profit from the people’s deposit. This makes a very compelling statement against big banks and not to mention a rather convincing one. The website also helps people to better understand how credit union works, where to find one and apply.
