Pix and Mix Show and Tell: krash Aviation Logo Design

Logo design from Pix and Mix - Design St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Hello everyone and thank you for checking back, we hope you are well and feeling happy-We're hyperactive and brimming with enthusiasm as always!

Seeing as we are all in a creative mindset (well we are all of the time, but today we are in an extra creative mood!) we thought it would be great to share with you yet another one of our latest works. It's another logo but nevertheless it was still a fun job.

Not so long ago (a few weeks back actually) we were contacted by a friendly fellow regarding the designing of a new logo for his airvan business, Krash Aviation Ltd-a company who specialise in the designing and construction of these spectacular planes (left).

Very excited we invited him along to our design studio for a meeting to discuss his requirements in detail. Over the phone he explained that he had a few ideas but wasn't quite sure as to how to go about the artwork (which if course is never a problem for us). We explained to him that the more ideas and material he had the better as that way we could create exactly what he wanted.

A couple of days later our client trotted along to our studio, laptop and ideas in tow. He showed us numerous images, explaining his ideas but was happy for us to use our creative flare to conjure up a concept that worked well and used some of the elements that he was looking for. Browsing through the images it was clear to see that his airvan's had the most distinctive structure, almost boat-like making them very iconic. It was this element that we felt was terribly important and must be included in the logo concept in one way or another. Little Emma had that many ideas that we thought she was going to explode, She got straight on the case as soon as our client stepped out of the door!

We came up with numerous designs in total, all of which included the airvan in a variety of ways, below are just a couple of examples that we came up with.

As you can see, we played around with the wording (which was one of our clients suggestions). Aviation means the design, development, production and operation of an object or device and so we highlighted the 'r' in 'Krash' to be the same colour as Aviation so it read 'r Aviation'. This element actually consists of a two meanings, one of which is the fact that it highlights the airvan's structure, but also the fact that we worked as a team with our client to create the final design, it was 'our aviation'.

We sent our designs off to our client who was absolutely thrilled with them all, but the one that really stood out for him (which in-fact was the first idea we came up with) was 'concept A' we share this below.

As always we thoroughly enjoyed this project and our client was an absolute pleasure to work with.
